I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A CREATIVE PERSON—A Busy One
I retired in July 2020 after more than 40+ years as a private music teacher, specializing in piano, guitar, voice, music coaching, and performance.
Before and during my teaching career, I worked as a professional musician, performing with numerous rock bands and a cappella groups beginning in the early 1980s. Music has been a huge part of my life—but it has never been my only creative outlet.
Today, my husband and I live full-time on the road in our Class A motorhome. Retirement certainly didn't stop me from creating; it simply gave me more time to explore my passions.
I write and produce music education courses for music students and teachers, available through my Patreon page, Tansie Lexington.
I am also the author of The Transformation of Sayaka Kai - A Story of Jorogumo, which incorporates elements of Japanese mythology, folklore, and dark fantasy, and I am currently writing its sequel, which blends supernatural suspense and psychological horror with tragic fantasy and cautionary tales.
In addition, I'm developing a new series, The Missions of Secret Agent Double 'D' Bubble - THE MIST KIDNAPPINGS, with character-driven stories.
As a content creator, I use my YouTube channel, Music Teacher Mentor, to coach and encourage up-and-coming private music teachers, sharing personal stories and experiences from my years as a music teacher.
HOBBIES
- I love “word art”—the dance of expressing myself with words.
- And I have a love/hate relationship with ever-changing technology. Some days I win. Some days, the technology wins.
Apparently, retirement is not nearly as quiet as people think.
