Learn how DD overcomes the loss of her mother, embraces her shortcomings, tackles challenging relationships, uncovers lies and secrets, and ultimately embraces her true nature to become Secret Agent Double D Bubble, like her hero, Agent Birdie Swift, the star in the popular television show The Undercover Switch.

These are short episodes published weekly where we watch DD start as a naive, underachieving high school girl and grow into a full-fledged secret agent. She fights off M.I.S.T., an extraterrestrial organization that kidnaps kids to siphon their sweet energy to fuel their unhealthy, aging population.

It's a light-hearted, comical, and easy read filled with action, tension, surprises, mistaken identities, and fun interactions between the colorful characters. The amusing drama takes place in the mid-1970s disco era in Florida.

BLURB Prequel to Episode One - July 2025

The television set crackled and popped. A thin wisp of acidic, black smoke rose from the back. DD Hershey ducked behind the lunch counter. She struggled to catch her breath, and Tank, her dog, cowered by her side.

“Did you see that, Tank?” she whispered, drawing the dog closer. She peered around the corner and was surprised to see that the set’s power cord lay on the floor, unplugged from the wall. Her first impulse was to rush to plug it in, but she pulled back when a fluorescent green line appeared on the screen, followed by a pink one just below. Traveling horizontally the width of the screen, the colorful lines crisscrossed in waves of chaotic patterns. A blinding electrical flash followed, and the lines tangled into a mess, accompanied by deafening snaps.

Tank, startled, bolted through the doggie door and raced down the street.

DD Hershey, the main character, is just out of high school and working at the Candy Shack on Hillsboro Beach. She is thrust into a series of mysterious kidnappings and is compelled to find the diabolical space thieves and rescue the snatched kids.

ANDREW SCOOPS

Andrew is a Weekly Bulldog newspaper reporter who, after taking a crime report from Miss Hershey, realizes that she is onto a BIG story. He follows her wherever she goes, trying to figure out what she's up to and to 'get the scoop ... much to her disapproval.
