Many talented musicians possess the skills necessary to become successful private music teachers, yet they often overlook this potential. Some may think that they need to be advanced performers or hold degrees in music before they can teach, which is a misconception. Instead, a solid foundation, practical business knowledge, and a step-by-step plan are what truly matter.
After more than 40+ years of building and running a successful private music studio, I am eager to share the strategies, systems, and invaluable lessons I've learned to help aspiring music teachers create and grow their teaching practices. Like finding creative writing inspiration in captivating Japanese mythology books or the thrill of supernatural suspense novels, my goal is to empower musicians to transform their existing skills into a rewarding business. This journey can not only be personally fulfilling but can also make a significant positive impact on their students' lives.
Though I am retired and no longer teach for income, my passion lies in supporting the next generation of music teachers as they establish successful, enjoyable, and profitable studios. Remember my motto: If you play, you can teach what you know.
